Lavandin is very different in fragrance and its effect from real lavender. It is a little flatter and sharper, which is certainly due to the fact that lavandin contains much fewer components than lavender.
That is why it is often found as a fragrance in cosmetics and perfumes. It is very suitable for keeping insects away or adding a few drops to the fragrance lamp.
For healing purposes, you should always use real lavender oil.
